A month from yesterday, ESPN's Jacksonville Jaguars reporter Mike DiRocco wrote that not many people know what's up with Justin Blackmon.
"Very few people know where Jacksonville Jaguars receiver Justin Blackmon is, what he's doing and whether he is receiving treatment for substance-abuse," DiRocco wrote.
We know a little more now, as Blackmon was arrested late Wednesday for possession of marijuana in Edmond.
Florida Times-Union columnist Gene Frenette wrote in June that those around Blackmon were keeping a tight lid on what was going on with the former OSU star.
"That's my son. I'm mom and try not to be the person that's sharing [information about Blackmon]," said Donna Blackmon in Frenette's piece.
The Jaguars have kept their distance from the former No. 5 overall pick this offseason. Jacksonville drafted two receivers in the second round of the 2014 NFL Draft, and the team has said they don't expect Blackmon to be reinstated from his NFL substance abuse suspension in 2014.
DiRocco said teammates and former coaches have had sporadic contact with Blackmon. See this story on espn.go.com
