Kiyon Koroma, 31, was staying at the hotel while Winfield Wrestling Club members were in Oklahoma City competing at the U.S. Junior Open Wrestling Tournament at State Fair Arena over the weekend.

Officers found Koroma dead and George Robert Anderson III, 22, injured in a room at Wingate by Wyndham, 2001 S Meridian Ave., police Master Sgt. Gary Knight said. Anderson has been arrested on a homicide complaint and is being held without bail in the Oklahoma County jail.

Koroma, Anderson and several other adults were in the room about 2:10 a.m. Sunday when Koroma was shot, Knight said.

Koroma is a Winfield Wrestling Club board member. He won the 1995 high school state wrestling championship in the 134-pound weight class while a member of Winfield's high school team.
