NORMAN, Okla. (AP) — Little Rock, Ark., native and former University of Oklahoma standout Keith Jackson is to receive the 2013 NCAA Silver Anniversary Award.

Jackson, who went on to play for nine years in the NFL, is one of six former NCAA athletes to receive the award this year.

The award honors former student-athletes on the 25th anniversary of the end of their college careers. The awards are being given this weekend at the NCAA Convention in Grapevine, Texas.

Jackson returned to Little Rock after retiring from the NFL and runs a foundation for helping young people. He is also the color commentator for Arkansas football radio broadcasts.
