The truth is Eddie was involved in scandal at Kentucky. Unfortunately, he almost took an innocent life due to his inability to stop drinking. Under Sean, many players were arrested for DUI and local bar owners frequently noted the use of fake ID's for players. Do the OSU fans think all the players who came to play for Eddie were recruited legitimately? Coach Sutton has many fine qualities and is essentially a good man despite his problems. We all have them. Kellen Sampson will judged on his actions.
I understand a century of whippings from OU in football has caused lifelong problems for some but that is how it goes. Heck, OU even has a healthy lead in the basketball series and has more baseball titles than OSU. OSU has golf and OU has gymnastics. But let us not fool ourselves. This is,was and will always be
a football state. T-Boone can gift a trillion dollars
to the program and the most likely destination come December will still be Shreveport. Both programs haul
in questionable recruits so the "moral" scoreboard is
about even. With saints or cons for each OU will still
be the dominant football power in this state...Must we again trot out the 500 national wrestling ttles? this is a sport with almost NO interest. ESPN covers spelling bees and hot dog eating events but not college wrestling so that says something. You are more
likely to see "Best Ranger" competition and re-runs of Curt Gowdy hunting with Ted Williams than you are a college wrestling dual.
