Broadway leading lady and four-time Tony Award nominee Kelli O’Hara will give a master class at Oklahoma City University, her alma mater, from noon to 2 p.m. today. The class is free to the public and will be in the Petree Recital Hall of the Bass Music Center, NW 25 Street and Blackwelder Avenue.

O’Hara, a Broadway, television and film star, graduated from OCU with a degree in vocal performance and opera. Three of her Tony Award nominations were for best leading actress in a musical for her roles in “South Pacific,” “The Pajama Game ” and “Nice Work if You Can Get It.” O’Hara’s second solo album, “Always,” was released in 2012.

The Elk City native has performed three times at the Kennedy Honors and frequently appears on the Memorial Day and July 4 PBS live telecasts. A Deer Creek High School graduate, O’Hara returned last week to the Edmond area school district to perform a benefit show for the Deer Creek High School choral program.
