Kellyville teacher arrested on rape complaint

SAPULPA — A Kellyville High School teacher is being held on $35,000 bond on suspicion of having a sexual relationship with an 18-year-old male student, according to court documents.

Kalyn Darby Thompson, 25, of Glenpool was arrested on Friday on a complaint of second-degree rape. Court documents state Kellyville High School officials met in April after discovering Thompson had been having an inappropriate relationship with a junior at the school.

Kellyville Principal Danny Woods told authorities that Thompson had resigned from her teaching position on April 16, stating she and the teen had been texting each other and that some of the texts had been sexual in nature.
