Kendrick Perkins played in his first NBA game in 2003 at the age of 19 years and 33 days.

With no minimum age requirement in the NBA, the Memphis Grizzlies drafted Perkins No. 27 overall in 2003 directly out of Clifton J. Ozen High School in Beaumont, Texas, then traded him to the Boston Celtics along with Marcus Banks in exchange for Troy Bell and Dahntay Jones.
