Kevin Durant filing lawsuit against his accountant Published: February 18, 2014

Thunder forward Kevin Durant is reportedly suing accountant Joel Elliott after some of Elliott's practices got KD in trouble with the IRS.

TMZ Sports reports that over the years Elliott has attempted to write off business expenses that weren't business related, such as Durant's personal chef. Durant is seeking around $200,000 in the lawsuit, according to the report, about what he lost in the accounting mishap.

The report also says that Durant has had to hire another law firm to rectify the mishandled tax returns, which date all the way back to 2007. The lawsuit was filed by Durant's representatives in December, and an extension for Elliott to respond was filed last week.

From the lawsuit: "Fees paid to a personal chef would not be regarded by a reasonably prudent accountant as qualifying for a business expense deduction."
