Kevin Durant, Reggie Jackson to take part in All-Star Saturday Published: February 7, 2014

Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kevin Durant and guard Reggie Jackson will play a role in the All-Star Saturday festivities.

Durant, who will start for the Western Conference in the All-Star Game on Feb. 16, will suit up in the shooting stars competition. He'll team up with NBA Hall of Famer Karl Malone and Tulsa Shock guard Skylar Diggins to go up against other star-studded threesomes. Participants include Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors, Chris Bosh of the Miami Heat and Hall of Famer Dominique Wilkins, among others.

Jackson will be a teammate of Phoenix Suns guard Goran Dragic in the Skills Challenge, which will switch to a team format this year in a Eastern Conference vs. Western Conference format.

Portland's Damian Lillard will become the first player to compete in three events during All-Star Saturday night in New Orleans, including a slam dunk contest that features three All-Stars for the first time in 26 years.
