Kevin Durant said Monday that he had no control over whether or not Nike made a shoe out of his new, trending nickname "The Slim Reaper." But Durant did have input on a tribute to his late Aunt Pearl.

The KD VI Aunt Pearl shoe pays respect to Durant’s beloved late aunt while supporting the Kay Yow Cancer Fund. Durant's aunt passed away from lung cancer in 2000 and her memory lives on through the floral-pattern adorned shoe, meant to raise awareness in the battle against women's cancers. The shoe will also have a Kay Yow Cancer Fund logo on the tongue in tribute to the former North Carolina State women's basketball coach and her organization which was founded in 2007.

The KD VI Aunt Pearl will be available Feb. 27.
