What Kevin Durant did to Brendan Haywood early in Game 2 might require some capital letters.

THE DUNK.

The Thunder star posterized the Mavs big man with a rim-rocking, one-handed dunk. Less than 24 hours later, The Dunk had already been watched 162,000 times on YouTube.

“I watched it a hundred times,” Thunder teammate Nate Robinson said.

He knows a little something about highlight-making dunks. Robinson won the NBA Dunk Contest three times, the only player to ever claim that many dunk titles.

“He doesn't weight that much,” Robinson said of Durant, “so for him to go up against a big like that? Yeah, that was impressive.”

Late in the first quarter, Durant inbounded the ball to guard Eric Maynor, who gave it right back to Durant. He took a couple dribbles toward the top of the key, and when he turned the corner, the lane to the basket was open. Durant had already gotten a step on Peja Stojakovic, so he went hard to the rim.

He jumped and drew contact from the 7-foot Haywood, but he was able to throw down a one-hand slam.

“It's very rare that a guy gets that type of momentum in half-court play,” veteran Nazr Mohammed said. “That's a play that you would see in the full court where a guy would get a good run up the court, build up speed. He basically did that from three-point line to the rim with a defender chasing him.
