KFOR: Former OKC broadcaster loses battle with cancer Published: September 23, 2013

KFOR-TV reports that Michael Paden Carpenter –artist, broadcast journalist, writer, philosopher and beloved curmudgeon— died September 22 in Edmond after a two-year struggle with cancer. He was 60.
