Killers have been around too long

I’m one of many who was troubled by the recent botched execution. My main concern is President Obama stepping in and getting Attorney General Eric Holder to analyze the problem. Mr. President, this was a one-time event! Now the federal government is going to analyze this execution.

Take a survey and I think you’ll find that most Americans believe Clayton Derrell Lockett got off easy compared to his buried-alive victim, Stephanie Neiman. Perhaps the state should have just shot Lockett and buried him alive. Had one of Obama’s daughters been the victim instead of Stephanie Neiman, would he have had the same concern about the discomfort Lockett suffered?

Obama alluded to evidence of racial bias. Killers come in all colors. We don’t care what color they are. We just want them off the streets. We don’t want to give them room and board at taxpayer expense. As far as most of us are concerned, they’ve lived on death row way too long. I don’t care how we get them to die. I just want them out of this world so they can’t kill any more innocent people.
