ARDMORE — King Aerospace has secured an $11 million contract to provide the U.S. Navy with aircraft maintenance and exterior paint on its fleet of C-9B aircraft.
The one-year contract includes four additional year options and begins Aug. 1. Work will be performed mainly in Ardmore with some parts maintenance performed at naval bases in Washington state and North Carolina.
King Aerospace has agreed to provide contractor logistics support, depot level maintenance, on-site material maintenance management and logistics support.
Keith Weaver, executive vice president of King Aerospace, said it's the first Navy contract for the company, which performs work for other Department of Defense agencies.
