KWTV shifts Ed Murray to weekend anchor

Longtime KWTV news staffer Ed Murray leaves morning slot to become weekend anchor

Longtime KWTV-9 news anchor Ed Murray has begun work as the station's weekend evening anchor after being replaced as morning co-anchor by Stan Miller.

A native of Bartlesville, Murray joined KWTV in July 1981 as a sports anchor and reporter. In January 2000, he became co-anchor of the station's morning show with Robin Marsh and also anchored the noon news.

Miller, a radio and television major at the University of Central Oklahoma, last worked as a news anchor at KFMB-TV in San Diego, Calif. He also has anchored at stations in Cleveland, Dallas, Miami, Fla., and Minneapolis. He also was a reporter/photographer at KOCO-5 and host for "PM Magazine" on KTVY-4 (now KFOR-4).
