A ceremony will be at 3 p.m. in the Stanton L. Young Biomedical Research Center, 975 NE 10 in Oklahoma City, and will include remarks by University of Oklahoma President David Boren, OU Cancer Institute Director Robert Mannel and Crutchfield.

Crutchfield, who beat colon cancer in 2003, has been a supporter of cancer research and was among the driving forces behind funding for the OU Cancer Institute, the only National Cancer Institute-funded cancer center within a 450-mile radius.
