Shawn Anderson, the general manager of Osage Landfill, says rumors started flying after sanitation workers made the discovery on Thursday. Officials say one of the decomposed remains resembled a human hand.

But Anderson tells a localnewspaper that the state medical examiner determined the remains were two feet and a paw — all belonging to a bear.
Investigators say they spoke with a local taxidermist who said he'd prepared several bears recently.
