LONDON (AP) — Michael Laudrup is taking legal advice after being fired as Swansea manager on Tuesday.

Laudrup revealed Thursday he was notified of his dismissal in "the briefest of letters which gave no reasons why such hasty and final action was deemed necessary."

The Dane adds that he is "of course taking legal advice" and the League Managers Association has "already written to the club asking for a proper explanation."

Swansea is 12th in the standings but just two points above the relegation zone after picking up only six points from its last 10 matches.

Laudrup also said Swansea has banned him from going to the training ground, even to say goodbye to the players.

Laudrup steered Swansea to its first major trophy, winning the League Cup last February.
