High school football: Lawton’s Maurice Chandler has knack for interceptions

Maurice Chandler is one of the highest-touted recruits in the state, with offers from Arizona State, Arkansas State, Kansas State, Oregon State and Texas Tech.

In the closing seconds of Lawton’s game at Edmond North last October, North was threatening, with the ball at the 5 and down 12-0.

Then Maurice Chandler turned what could have been a tight game into a relatively comfortable halftime lead with a 94-yard interception return for a touchdown as time expired in the half.
