KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Tennessee linebacker Christian Harris has decided to leave the football program.

The school announced Tuesday through the football program's official Twitter account that Harris "has informed us that he will not be returning to the Tennessee football program. We thank Christian for his efforts here at Tennessee and wish him all the best in the future."

Harris played all 12 games as a sophomore this season while contributing mostly on special teams. He made five tackles, with three of them coming in a season-opening 45-0 victory over Austin Peay. Harris had torn his anterior cruciate ligament during 2012 spring practice but returned to play 10 games that season, though he didn't make a tackle.
