Texas Tech's Mike Leach wins over Prague’s Denton Simek

PRAGUE — Prague football coach Charles Atchison had never had a major college football coach call him on his cell phone.

But when Texas Tech coach Mike Leach found out Prague offensive lineman Denton Simek was thinking about committing elsewhere, Leach reached out and gave Atchison a story he can tell in the future.

It wasn’t too long after that Simek gave a verbal commitment to the Red Raide...
