Leadership Oklahoma names contest winner

Others nominated for this year's award were Jeff Moen, with the Oklahoma Center for Nonprofits; Howard G. Barnett, who works with numerous nonprofits and, with his wife, has raised more than $30 million in various fundraising campaigns in Tulsa over the years; Norma Henshaw, with Project Elf, which provides basic needs for Tulsa Public School students from kindergarten through high school; Tim McLaughlin, with Fields & Futures, a project that is improving lives for students in Oklahoma City; Jenny Breeden, Hearts that Care Free Clinic in Lawton; and Mary Pointer, known for her work with Women Of the South and the Red Andrews Christmas Dinner.

“This contest is Leadership Oklahoma's way of saying thank you for exceptional service and leadership in moving Oklahoma forward to a special volunteer and nonprofit organization,” said Ann Ackerman, Leadership Oklahoma CEO.
