KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia (AP) — South Korea's Ilhee Lee retained a one-stroke lead at the LPGA Malaysia after American Lexi Thompson shot a 9-under 62 Friday to beat the tournament record of 64.
Lee had a 67 to finish the second round at Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club at 13-under 129.
Thompson was in second and last week's LPGA Classic champion Feng Shanshan was another two strokes back in third after a 65. IK Kim (66) and Paula Creamer (67) were tied for fourth at 9 under.
Amy Yang of South Korea matched Thompson's 62 to sit tied for sixth with Japan's Mamiko Higa (66).
