NORMAN

Library to host open house

The Norman Library will host a holiday open house at 6 p.m. Friday at 225 N Webster Ave. The evening will feature holiday-themed books and movies, a chance to decorate a gingerbread house and children's crafts. In conjunction with the open house, the Pioneer Library System's Virtual Library branch will hold a Holiday eReader Workshop at 6 p.m. in the library's Lowry Room. Altrusa makes donation to library

Altrusa International Inc. of Norman has donated $350 to the library for books and language learning CDs for use by tutors and students in the adult literacy program. Altrusa will hold a holiday party for the literacy program from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the Lowry Room.
