Lies stated as facts are still lies

Lee Agnew (Your Views, Oct. 5) has no clue what conservatives think, nor what the legitimate function of government is within the parameters of the Constitution. The quote “Repeat a lie often enough and it will be believed” is generally attributed to Joseph Goebbels, Hitler's propaganda minister. Apparently, Agnew shares this philosophy. Stating lies as facts doesn't make them truth.

I'm disappointed with a citizenry that blindly clings to propaganda, with disregard for truth and integrity. U.S. Rep. James Lankford is a man of integrity. Actual statistics on the purported evil rich are easily accessible, including which percentage of the populace pays what percent of the nation's tax bill. Close to half pays little or nothing, and that non-paying percentage is the poor, not those evil wealthy people. Who do progressives, on a clear-headed day, think provides employment in this nation? It's certainly not the poor nor the government.
