Life Change Ballroom will host a “Dancing With the Stars”-style fundraiser on Friday to promote the nonprofit organization.

Celebrity judge will be Disney Star Kyle Massey, who also was first runner-up in Season 11's “Dancing With the Stars” on ABC.

For the event, nine advanced teen dancers from Life Change Ballroom are paired with local celebrities competing in the challenge.

Funds raised will help expand Life Change Ballroom's impact in Oklahoma City's inner-city schools and beyond. The nonprofit program is a mentoring program disguised as ballroom dancing, a news release noted.

The event will be at 6:30 p.m. at Coles Garden, 1415 NE 63. Tickets are $100 and available online at http://lifechangeballroom44.eventbrite.com.

Each dance couple will receive a score for their dance, which will be added to the amount of ticket sales and donations made in their names.

The program is seeking silent auction items as well as monetary donations. To help, contact the organization founder/director, Cindy Pipkin, at 755-2401 or at info@lifechangeballroom.com.
