Event: Grand Opening Gala Celebration reception for Hudson Performance Hall.
Where: Northwest Classen High School.
What: Vince Gill, along with the Northwest Classen Cry-Slurs and the Mojo Men with Bill Maxwell and Rick White, provided a musical concert. Northwest Classen was Gill's high school alma mater. Cliff and Leslie Hudson, 1972 graduates, were large donors providing funds for the upgrading of the Hall. The benefit brought in $250,000 for the Friends of Northwest Classen Foundation.
AN EVENING OF HOPE
What: Amy Grant, wife of Vince Gill, sang a number of inspirational songs for the crowd at a Mission of Hope banquet, which benefited the City Rescue Mission.

MAKING A DIFFERENCE
What: Alzheimer's Association Luncheon.
Where: The Tasting Room.
What: Members of AWARE (Alliance of Women for Alzheimer's Research and Education) were honored. Gov. Mary Fallin's proclamation declaring World Alzheimer's Action Day on Sept. 21 in Oklahoma was commemorated. That evening, purple lights lit the Myriad Gardens, Skydance and the Oklahoma River bridges and Boldt Construction on Broadway. Sally Hood was master of ceremonies. Guest speaker was Claudine LaRouque, national director of major and planned giving for the association. Anne Robert shared the story of her mother's journey with Alzheimer's and sang her mother's favorite song. David Sisson provided keyboard music during the luncheon.
