Event: 37th Annual Renaissance Ball, “A Decade Downtown.''
Where: Oklahoma City Golf & Country Club.
To Benefit: More than $350,000 was raised to benefit Oklahoma City Museum of Art's general operations.
Chairmen: Ball co-chairmen were Tina and Elby Beal. Honorary co-chairmen were Christy and Jim Everest. Sponsorship co-chairmen were Caroline and Durward Hendee, Penny and John McCaleb and Brenda and Tom McDaniel.
The Evening: Arriving guests, undeterred by the blustery evening, did a double take when they spotted the 25-foot tall balloon tower in the Great Hall, a replica of the colorful Chihuly glass tower in the front window of the Oklahoma City Art Museum. A decor statement, this balloon sculpture set the tone for this formal evening, which showcased additional pieces from the Chihuly collection throughout the rooms.
Crystal chairs sat around tables covered with sapphire blue pin tuck linens. Soft blue light around the perimeter enhanced the elegant feel. Centerpieces were tall topiary-shaped arrangements of green and yellow flowers with citrus fruit, in clear vases.
The evening began with cocktails and live music followed by a seated dinner and dancing to the band “The Project.”
CLUB 10 guests joined the gala at 9:30 p.m. to participate in the dancing and a dessert buffet.

The Evening: After dining on cuisine inspired by the James Bond Movies, guests participated in live and silent auction and sipped on one of the special cocktails served, “Shaken, Not Stirred.'' Dressed in either formal or costume attire, society patrons crowded the dance floor to dance to the music of Souled Out.
Event: Ace High Benefit and Auction.
Where: National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum.
What: Dinner was catered by Rococo restaurant and fabulous auction items tweaked the interest of guests.
