Up-and-coming film director and producer Kyle Roberts, owner of the Oklahoma City-based film company Reckless Abandonment Pictures, is gaining national acclaim for his films. Roberts' efforts in stop-motion animation and music videos have been heralded by the likes of the Los Angeles Times, USA Today, Gizmodo, WIRED Magazine, and Mashable.

Can't Stop This Motion is a night celebrating Roberts' short films. At 7:30 p.m. Thursday, May 19, at IAO Art Gallery, 701 W Sheridan, the gallery will present the world premiere of Roberts' newest film venture, “Battle of the Bonds.” The film is a stop-motion picture in which action figures represent the various actors who have portrayed James Bond in a battle to find out who was the best Bond.

Roberts, who also is a video editor for NewsOK.com, called upon some local and national YouTube celebrities to star in “Battle of the Bonds”: Daneboe, Brittani Louise Taylor and Zack Scott. Local comedian and actor Lucas Ross also stars in the film.

Also at the event, several of Roberts' short films and videos will be featured along with musical guest Denver Duncan.

“Battle of the Bonds” was a labor of love for Roberts that took eight months to complete.
