Light snow expected in the Panhandle this morning (Thursday)

Here’s a short-term forecast (from the National Weather Service, Amarillo, Texas), as of 7:39 a.m., for the Oklahoma Panhandle counties of  Cimarron, Texas and Beaver, which includes Boise City, Keyes, Guymon, Beaver and Forgan.

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until 9 a.m. Friday in that area.

Areas of light snow will move northeast across the Oklahoma Panhandle this morning. Snowfall will be light through 10 a.m. with any accumulation remaining under 1 inch.
