Here we are, mid-July, and the live music is still going strong in Oklahoma City. Who to see, you ask? I have a few suggestions.

July 17: Sauna, Moloko Litso and Skating Polly at The Conservatory. This may be one of your last chances to catch teen-girl rockers Skating Polly in their own element. Recently signed, they are soaring high, and quickly. Go see what all of the fuss is about.

July 18: Bright Nights Music Festival at OK Highway 66 and Milfay Road. Bright Nights Music Festival is the first annual three-day festival held by FREEBASS Productions and ARK-ENERGY Productions. Tickets can be purchased via Eventbrite, and they will be donating a portion of the proceeds to the Moore tornado disaster relief. Artists include: BARE (Los Angeles), Jesse Strange (OKC), D.J. Diverse (OKC), Rog Mahal (Tulsa), Daven Treague (OKC), DJ Fritz (Tulsa), FREEBASS (Norman), Robvader (OKC), Jonny Tsunami (OKC), Blake O (OKC), Ian Sweet (OKC), Zorg Zombi (OKC), Them Hounds (OKC) and many more. They have promised swimming, bonfires, drum circles and the ultimate in local outdoor festivals. For more information, go to http://www.eventbrite.org/4134257633

July 19: Ali Harter and The Man Band, Kierston White, and Madison King at Kamps 1310 Lounge. These talented songstresses will be gettin’ down all night long, and Ali will be performing with her new band which includes Tyler Hopkins and Kurt Freudenberger of Black Canyon. This is my no miss show of the weekend, with a guaranteed good time.
