NewsOK 7:17 a.m. The National Weather Service in Norman has issued a winter storm warning for heavy snow, which is in effect until 6 p.m. The winter weather advisory is no longer in effect.

* Snow...Heavy at times will continue over parts of western
Oklahoma today. Accumulations of 4 to 7 inches will be

* Main impact: snow and ice on roadways will result in hazardous
Driving conditions.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Be careful if you have to travel on sunday. Even small amounts of
Ice and snow can make roads and sidewalks slick and dangerous.

NewsOK 7:27 a.m. NWS Norman: Reports of sleeting in Duncan and Noble
NewsOK 7:45 a.m. MANGUM -- At 7:40 a.m., Casey Paxton, editor and publisher of the Mangum Star News said he has about 7 to 8 inches of snow on top of his house.

"With drifting, there's a table outside here with about a foot of snow on it," he said. "I don't remember getting this much snow in a quite awhile."

NewsOK 10:14 a.m. From NWS Norman: Winter storm warning continues for Beckham, Caddo, Comanche, Greer, Harmon, Jackson, Kiowa, Tillman and Washita counties.
NewsOK 10:16 a.m. From NWS Norman: Winter weather advisory has been canceled for Alfalfa, Ellis, Harper, Roger Mills, Woods and Woodward counties.
NewsOK 10:28 a.m. National Weather Service, Norman: On this Nov. 24, 2013 we can look back to Nov. 27, 2001, a powerful winter storm, the first of the season, dumped between 3 and 8 inches of snow across portions of central and southwest Oklahoma. Isolated reports of over 10 inches were seen across western north Texas. Lawton ended up with 6 inches of snow from the storm, while Munday, Texas accumulated 14 inches.
