A wintry weather system moved through central Oklahoma Thursday night and left behind several inches of snow, according to The National Weather Service Forecast Office in Norman.

NewsOK 12:24 p.m. The City of Del City was originally scheduled to have the Annual Christmas Tree Lighting on Dec. 6 but due to weather concerns the event will be held on Dec 12th 2013 at 6 p.m.

The event will be held at the Del City Community Center located at 4505 SE 15th Street in Del City.
NewsOK 12:26 p.m. Tulsa World reports Saturday morning's Christmas parade in Broken Arrow has been canceled due to the impending weather.
NewsOK 12:39 p.m. The National Weather Service, Norman has issued an ice storm warning for Hughes, Murray, Pontotoc, Coal, Jefferson, Carter, Johnston, Atoka, Love, Marshall, Bryan counties from until 6 pm Friday.
NewsOK 12:57 p.m. We have sleet at 9000 Broadway Ext. Be careful if you're driving on the roads.

“We’re already staring to see a little bit of light precipitation into the metro right now. We’re getting some reports and it mostly looks like snow and sleet. And I think that’s what we can expect."
NewsOK 1:53 p.m. Western Oklahoma State College is closing at 2 p.m. today due to inclement weather.
NewsOK 1:58 p.m. OU Norman campus is closing at 2:30 p.m. today.
NewsOK 2:02 p.m. The Kingfisher Hometown Christmas Parade has been rescheduled for Saturday, Dec. 14. The parade was originally scheduled for Saturday.
NewsOK 2:03 p.m. The SAT test scheduled for Saturday December 7, 2013 at John Marshall High School in Oklahoma City has also been cancelled due to inclement weather.

NewsOK 2:41 p.m. OKC Police report officers will no longer be responding to non-injury accidents. Exchange info, take pics, contact insurer if you're in one.
NewsOK 2:59 p.m. City of Agra is cancelling its Christmas parade and other activities scheduled for Saturday.

NewsOK 3:11 p.m. Governor Mary Fallin today declared a State of Emergency for all 77 Oklahoma counties due to the winter storm impacting the state.
NewsOK 3:11 p.m. Because the weather event is expected to include prolonged sub-freezing temperatures, dangerous road conditions and power outages, emergency management authorities recommended issuing this declaration before the full brunt of the storm arrives.

Governor Fallin warned Oklahomans to stay off the roads if at all possible.

“The weather is bad and getting worse,” said Fallin. “Emergency personnel are coordinating with state and local officials to ensure we are prepared and ready for whatever comes our way.”
NewsOK 3:43 p.m. The Winter Training Conference of the Oklahoma Public Human Resources Association, to be held Friday, December 6, has been cancelled due to inclement weather.
NewsOK 3:56 p.m. The MAPS for Kids Rockwood Elementary School Grand Opening – originally scheduled for Dec 6th @ 1:30pm – has been postponed due to the winter weather. You will receive notice of the new date once scheduled.
NewsOK 3:57 p.m. Presiding Judge Philippa James has canceled Friday’s Oklahoma City Municipal Court sessions due to icy conditions. Defendants will be notified of their new court date. Traffic and criminal arraignments scheduled on Friday will be heard Monday.

NewsOK 4:19 p.m. OU Medical Center Hospital Outpatient Clinics are closed tomorrow.
NewsOK 4:22 p.m. OKC City Hall is and will remain open tomorrow.
NewsOK 5:01 p.m. The Boy Scouts of America Last Frontier Council's Gathering of Eagles is cancelled Thursday.
NewsOK 5:12 p.m. Childcare Network locations will be operating on a two-hour delay tomorrow morning due to weather.
NewsOK 5:25 p.m. Will Rogers World Airport is open with sleet/snow falling. Flights are arriving and departing with some delays. As of 5:00 pm, there have been only seven weather-related cancellations, but the airport anticipates several cancellations and delays early tomorrow morning as the snow continues during the overnight hours.
NewsOK 5:25 p.m. American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Southwest Airlines and United Airlines are waiving change fees that allow customers the opportunity to change their flights if scheduled to fly today or tomorrow.
NewsOK 5:48 p.m. The regularly scheduled Board meeting of the Central Oklahoma Transportation & Parking Authority at 9 a.m. tomorrow has been canceled.

This meeting has been rescheduled for Thursday, December 19, 2013 at 10:15 a.m. at Union Station, 300 SW 7th Street, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73109.
NewsOK 9:00 a.m. The Northern Oklahoma College Stillwater campus will be closed today, but all of the other NOC campuses will remain open.
NewsOK 9:02 a.m. As of 6:30 a.m., Will Rogers Airport in Oklahoma City was reporting that eight departures and five arrivals have been canceled. Several other flights have been delayed 15 minutes up to one hour. Delays are likely to continue until weather conditions improve at the airport.
