FEEDER CATTLE
Estimated receipts: 9,500; last Monday: 9,756; year ago: 9,923.
Compared with last week: Feeder steers and heifers steady to $1 higher with good demand. Quality of feeders plain to average. Steer and heifer calves $1-$3 higher. Calf demand good and improved. Weather has cleared and warmed up and these conditions expected through the week. Wheat pasture should improve. Calf quality average to attractive with more long weaned calves included.
Feeder steers: Medium and large No. 1: Calves: 375-400 lbs. $123.50-$127; 400-450 lbs. $113.50-$123.50, 415 lbs. fancy $128; 450-500 lbs. $110.25-$117.50; 500-550 lbs. $105-$112.50; 550-600 lbs. $98-$105.50; 600-675 lbs. $88.50-$99.50; 700-800 lbs. $87-$94.25.
Yearlings: 600-700 lbs. $94-$100.50; 700-800 lbs. $93-$96.75; few 800-860 lbs. $93.50-$94; 900-925 lbs. $90.25-$91.75.
