Q: What’s behind the name?
A: Anthony Hill singer: Well, it’s a play on words referring to the boxing term "standing 8 count" which gives a downed fighter a chance to recuperate from his opponents beat-down. But it actually has nothing to do with that. It’s more like we’re counting down the dwindling number of unevolved apes while the world evolves despite them.

Q: Describe your music in 10 words or less.
A: Hill: That's a hard one. How about two words? Eclectic-Passionate.
Q: Has anyone in your band overcome extreme difficulties in getting where you are now?
A: Hill: I think we all have in different ways. But we prefer to keep those experiences personal and use them in our music. That way when we do relate to our audience it’s not just a thought process but something they can feel, too.
Q: Care to share your most embarrassing or craziest moment on stage or in your music career?
A: Hill: I'll pass on the embarrassing aspects. There are a lot of pretty crazy antics on-stage especially when the crowd returns the energy from the stage back to us.
Q: How is your music helping the world?
A: Hill: Well, to be honest it's not....yet. But, that's because we reach a relatively small crowd. We hope to change that in the near future. And, what that takes is for us to have access to avenues which can reach huge numbers of potential fans and help us spread the word about Standing Ape Count.
Q: What exactly is fame to you?
A: Hill: To me, fame is a microscope on an individual. That can be a powerful blessing to shed light on issues you care about. It can also be a cursed existence with diminished privacy. But, I think the trade off is worth it.
Q: Would you rather have one huge hit or moderate success?
A: Hill: That one is easy. Moderate success. Who wants to be a one-hit wonder?
Q: Future goals?
A: Hill: Short-term goal are to get professional management, shop our demo, and tour regionally. Long-term goals are to sign a lucrative recording contract, play music for a living, tour globally, and dominate the world
