Local Fed board names director

Michael A. Cawley, president of the Samuel Roberts Noble Foundation in Ardmore, has been appointed to the board of directors of the Oklahoma City Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City, the bank said Thursday.

Cawley succeeds
Michael J. Packnett, former president of
Mercy Health Center of Oklahoma who resigned to take a job in
Fort Wayne,
Ind.
The
Federal Reserve Board of Governors appointed Cawley to a term that will expire Dec. 31, 2008. He will be eligible for one re-appointment.
The
Kansas City bank also announced that
Richard K. Ratcliffe, chairman of Weatherford-based Ratcliffe's Inc. bookstore business, will serve as new chairman of the Oklahoma City Branch board. He will succeed
Tyree Minner, former manager of the now-idled Oklahoma City
General Motors Assembly Plant who was reassigned to a
Pontiac, Mich.
Other members of the seven-member board include
Terry M. Almon, president of
Arkansas Valley State Bank in
Broken Arrow;
Robert R. Gilbert, III, president of the F&M Bank and Trust Co. in
Tulsa;
Fred M. Ramos, president of the Greater Tulsa Hispanic Chamber of Commerce; and
Steven C. Agee, president of
Lee & Agee Inc. in Oklahoma City. One board position is vacant. Four of the board members are appointed by the
Kansas City Reserve Bank's board of directors; the remaining three are appointed by the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System in
Washington. Branch directors meet monthly to confer on economic developments and operating matters.
