“The Jogger,” the first feature film from Oklahoma City-based production company Tee Rob Pictures, LLC, begins production Oct. 13 at locations in and around the city.

Tee Rob's founders, Casey Twenter and Jeff Robison, said in a statement that they intend to showcase the state's landscapes, homes and businesses during the 15-day shoot.

In the suspense thriller, a mild-mannered jogger named Paul goes out for his normal evening run and finds himself stalked in a violent and deadly race for his life through the dense forest surrounding his suburban neighborhood. Clues to the identity of the mysterious pursuer are revealed through flashbacks.

Paul is played by Derek Phillips, best known for his role as Billy Riggins on the NBC series “Friday Night Lights.” Phillips recently completed filming for a role in the biopic of Jackie Robinson, “42,” co-starring Harrison Ford.

“For us, this film is the culmination of many of our dreams. The fact that we are able to make it on our own backyard, with a crew that is nearly 100 percent Oklahoma-based, makes it that much sweeter,” Twenter said.

“We are very happy to support Casey and Jeff with the forthcoming production of ‘The Jogger,'” said Jill Simpson, director of the Oklahoma Film & Music Office.

“It is wonderful to see the state's incentives program help two of our Oklahoma filmmakers get their first feature film under way,” she said.

“The Jogger” is being produced utilizing the 35 percent Oklahoma Film Enhancement Rebate Program administered by the Oklahoma Film & Music Office.
