Story: Everyone called her “Granny” despite her relatively young age, said her friend Steve Sparks of Ardmore. Donna, a Rapid City, S.D., native, was known for being generous to a fault and regularly cared for the homeless and needy. At the time of her death, Donna served as a “mother figure” for two adult roommates she housed. Both roommates are hospitalized at Mercy Memorial Health Center in Ardmore.

“A wonderful lady – always smiling,” Sparks said. “She was just a fabulous woman.”

Funeral Services: Monday at 6 p.m. at Griffin-Hillcrest Funeral Home Chapel in Ardmore
