She said company officials will monitor demand at those locations to determine whether to expand Love's CNG offerings.

The Oklahoma City-based company has more than 290 travel stops and convenience stores around the country.

Taylor Shinn, Chesapeake's senior director of corporate development, commended Love's for its commitment to CNG.

“CNG continues to have the potential to be a major player in the transportation fuels market, not only in our state but across the country,” he said. “As two Oklahoma-based companies, we are proud to support and expand the use of clean, affordable and Oklahoma-produced natural gas.”

The addition of 10 new CNG stations at Love's stores will push Oklahoma to more than 70 existing or planned public fueling stations.

Love's currently sells CNG for $1.69 per gallon equivalent, making it a less expensive fueling option for fleet vehicles and others.
