Low lake levels endanger supplies

LAWTON -- Southwestern Oklahoma lake levels continue to fall and officials are concerned about water supplies for area cities and towns.

The Lawton Constitution reports that water conservation efforts are under way as the municipalities and communities suffer effects of a prolonged drought.


This is the third consecutive year for these conditions in that area.

Each city, town, or community determines to what extent it has to go to preserve its water, based on factors such as daily use versus daily supply.
