Lower court ruling affirmed in case against Tulsa officer Published: July 30, 2014

The state Court of Criminal Appeals unanimously affirmed on Friday a Tulsa County District Court conviction against former Tulsa Police Officer Marvin Blades Jr., Tulsa World reports.

Blades, 39, was sentenced to three concurrent 35-year prison terms in a nonjury trial after being convicted of five counts of armed robbery in August, according to Tulsa World. He's accused of stealing money from Hispanic drivers' wallets after pulling them over while on duty and in uniform.
