BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — For the first time since 2012, the LSU women's tennis team has received an at-large bid into the NCAA Division I Women's Tennis Tournament.
The NCAA said Tuesday that the Lady Tigers will face Pepperdine (18-4, 9-0 West Coast Conference) in the first round. The match is at 12 p.m. May 9 at the Hellman Tennis Complex in Berkeley, Calif.
LSU enters the tournament 14-13 overall and 3-10 in the Southeastern Conference. The bid marks LSU's 19th appearance in the tournament and the team's first under second-year head coach Julia S. Sell.
