Mack Brown says 'my situation has not changed' at Texas

Texas coach Mack Brown said he plans to meet with new athletic director Steve Patterson and Texas president Bill Powers about his future as the Longhorns coach Thursday at the Alamo Bowl press conference in San Antonio.



Talk has swirled around Brown's job status this week after orangebloods.com's Chip Brown wrote about Mack Brown deciding to step down as Longhorns coach after 16 seasons. Alabama coach Nick Saban is the heavy name being mentioned as Brown's potential successor.
