Bruce's Vintage Guitars & Antiques in downtown Norman is within walking distance of five other antiques shops, owner Bruce Remy said.
The building at 306 E Main in downtown Norman has been in Bruce Remy's family since the 1930s. Varied tenants have used the space, from auto mechanics to a hat manufacturer and, most notably, Remy's grandfather, who ran Leadbetter Buick and Motor Co. there from 1935 to 1965.

When the shop became vacant this spring, Remy decided it would be a perfect place to showcase his collection of vintage guitars. He added antiques for those not so musically inclined. The result is Bruce's Vintage Guitars & Antiques.
Remy, a retired physician who plays guitar in the band “Almost Outlaws,” has joined with several other antique store owners in downtown Norman to promote the area to visitors and locals.
“They can come down and spend all day in Norman, eat at a restaurant and shop for antiques at the same time,” he said.
Within walking distance are five other antique stores: Elusive at 209 W Main, Roxy's Funky Art Boutique at 128 W Gray, S&J Marketplace Antiques & Collectibles at 219 E Gray, Stash at 412 E Main and Main Street Memorables at 531 E Main.
