After their mom died suddenly last spring, sisters Nikki Griggs and Bridgette Close stepped in to keep her bakery and restaurant alive. Close runs the restaurant and bakery and Griggs, a mortgage broker, has stepped in to help.
“It has been a struggle since my mom passed,” Griggs said. “My sister and I have great hopes for the future and hope to keep moving forward with all of my mother's dreams and plans for future businesses.”
Treats for special occasions
Raspberries n' Creme bakes wedding cakes and other treats for special occasions, including cake balls and cupcakes.
Adjacent to the bakery is Nikkellette's Cafe, a lunch eatery serving salads, sandwiches and breads. The name Nikkellette is a mixture of the sisters' names, Nikki and Bridgette.
