Used to be, when Steve Seikel craved mustard, he'd purchase 10 different brands and mix them up trying to get the right combination of texture and taste. But now, with his own recipe spreading to retailers and wholesalers across the state, he's able to eat his perfect mustard on everything from bread to pork ribs.

“It's the only mustard I'd eat with a spoon,” Seikel said.

Seikel, whose father, Paul Seikel, founded Pearl's Restaurant Group, is pleased with how well received the product has been. A growing list of retailers can be found on the company's website, and he's adding Sprouts Farmers Market and Whole Foods Market soon.

The mustard is all-natural, gluten-free and contains no high fructose corn syrup or preservatives. It's made for topping hamburgers, he said, but also goes great in recipes like potato salad and dressings.
