Special photos don't have to be framed in a basic black or brown box, as Broken Arrow company The Organic Bloom is demonstrating to the world. With 48 standard sizes, 53 colors and even more options to customize, The Organic Bloom's picture frames are about as unique as each customer.
The one-piece frames don't have glass in the middle — embracing the trend of consumers ordering photos mounted on sturdy styrene or foam board rather than photo paper, said Jason Sooter, who founded the company with his wife, Andrea, who is known as “Mrs. Bloom.”
Since its start in 2010, the company has bloomed, you could say, and now ships its products to all 50 states as well as Canada, the U.K. and Australia. But you won't find them in stores. Instead, The Organic Bloom sells its frames exclusively through professional photographers, who then sell to their clients.
“We've found that photographers are like salesmen for us. You need help choosing,” he said.
Future plans for the innovative company are to “get faster” in production and add a new product to its lineup: letters, in different fonts and colors to coordinate with the frames.
