More evidence that Oklahoma City's NBA franchise will be nicknamed Thunder appeared on the Internet on Thursday.
In detailing one of their partial season ticket packages through the Web site Ticketmaster, the Orlando Magic listed a Dec. 5 home game against the Thunder. The game is included in what the Magic are calling the "Half Howard 23-Game Plan.” It is the second time this month the nickname Thunder has slipped into official NBA-related material online. When the NBA released its league-wide schedule Aug. 6, the league's official Web site, NBA.com, briefly redirected users who clicked on any of Oklahoma City's 82 games to the URL www.nba.com/thunder. Officials from Oklahoma City's NBA franchise announced Wednesday that the team nickname, colors and logos will be unveiled Sept. 3.
