Magnitude-3.1 quake reported near Chandler

A magnitude-3.1 earthquake was reported just after 5 p.m. near Chandler in central Oklahoma.

A recent spike in seismic activity continued Thursday in central Oklahoma with a magnitude-3.1 earthquake, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The quake was recorded just after 5 p.m. about six miles west of Chandler.

Earthquakes of magnitude 3.0 or above can generally be felt by those near the epicenter.
