A magnitude-3.7 earthquake shook the Oklahoma City area on Christmas Eve.

The U.S. Geological Survey registered the quake about 9:08 p.m. six miles east-northeast of Edmond.

The quake was centered about 3 miles underground, which is relatively shallow for earthquakes, making it easier to feel, officials said.

No immediate reports of damage were lodged with authorities.
